Painting coming soon…
“Painting, for me, is an expression of my greatest fears and desires unified in one. I often find myself exploring the theme of infinite existence- the notion that 'life on earth' is only one of many fragments of the 'Other World'. On this journey we meet “The Jungle”, the analogy for the essence of life, a labyrinth. Wild and insatiable, it is full of howling beings, savages yearning to belong.
Through my creations, I display symbols of emotive expression, playful and dark. The messages encrypted in my paintings, which I refer to as the hidden 'fruits of paradise' are there for you to decipher. The encryptions intend to evoke individual sentimental responses, ambiguity is a key ingredient allowing for each viewers experience to be a unique and personal one. For me, with each painting I release a small piece of myself into the universe, existing infinitely through my work. The act of creating art itself is entertaining to me. It serves as a mirror into my subconscious where the inner struggles give way to the play of form and idea; the experience we call ‘flow'.
To illustrate the 'Other World' I often pervert the idea of composition, and play with colour harmonies provoking a sense of the unknown. I consider my approach towards the subject to be experimental and my style expressive in colour and symbolism, depicting what I see and what comes into my mind.”
